Importance of volunteering on female education

Female education from an early age is very important to achieve a more egalitarian society where children have a better future. Currently, there is gender inequality as there are fewer opportunities in education for girls. For every 100 male students who finish basic education, only 74 females finish.

By dedicating their time and expertise, volunteers directly impact the lives of girls, providing them with guidance and support to pursue their education. In addition to creating opportunities for girls, volunteering in female education challenges societal norms and stereotypes, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. Through their involvement, volunteers not only make a difference in the lives of others but also experience personal growth and fulfillment from contributing to a meaningful cause.

Be a part of the change you wish to see.

Subear

I am a Marketing Management student with experience running social media campaigns and utilising SEO, but I specialise in content creation and video editing.

Working alongside the SaGG Foundation and specifically working closely with the founder Annetta has been a wonderful experience. I got to further hone my skills, as well as how to work better in a team.

Education is of paramount importance in empowering young girls and I feel honoured to have been a part of facilitating this for young girls in The Gambia!

Consider volunteering and make a positive impact on the world, it's a truly rewarding experience :)

Somaia

I'm a Digital Marketing student with relevant experience in running and optimizing social campaigns on Google and Facebook, building email marketing campaigns , SEO and content marketing.

Working alongside the SaGG Foundation team was really inspiring and fruitful. I got to know how it is to work in a team for an important cause: girls education.

Knowing that with every piece of content created a girl was being heard out, was the best part of this role. We did not only advertise and promote , we were giving a voice and a future to young and bright Gambian girls.

I loved my time here, and I hope you will too by joining the team in this rewarding experience!

Thato

I am a social media marketing professional, and I decided to volunteer at the SaGG Foundation. using my skills and knowledge to help the Foundation continue raising awareness and support for their cause on social media.

As someone who has an interest in issues of women's and girls' rights and their ongoing fight towards achieving equality, I used the opportunity to volunteer to be an actual part of something real, that takes action with real, tangible results.

Knowing that my efforts were helpful towards helping girls and women become better people and stand a better chance of thriving in this obviously patriarchal society was, and still is something that I take pride in.

Justine

I am a digital marketer, with experience working in content & marketing strategy, SEO, PPC, social media & email marketing. I came across SaGG just over a year ago, when looking for a volunteer project to help out with over the summer. After speaking with the founder, I felt so moved that I had to get in on the project. Education has, and always will be, a vital component of my life.

Education is power, safety, and crucial- particularly for women, who often have to work twice as hard to get the equality that they deserve. In this day and age, NO girl should be married off, NO girl should have her right to an education stripped away. I am honoured to have helped out working for a charity with such a great cause and look forward to seeing the great things they continue to achieve.

Kingston

I am a Business Management with Marketing student with some experience in SEO and content creation but in this volunteer role, my primary objective was to maintain and grow SaGG Foundation Facebook account.

Words cannot describe how amazing it was to work with SaGG Foundation. It gave me an opportunity to develop my SEO skills, web design, graphic design, working as a team, and much more.

Working with SaGG Foundation made me realise that, education is the only key that can open multiple doors towards opportunities, success and prosperity.

Thanks Annetta and SaGG Foundation for giving me this opportunity to be part of this team and I wish SaGG Foundation great success ahead.
